Bluegrass Jam is one of the many events offered by Lincoln County Senior Services.

Program descriptions:

Bluegrass Jam: Bring instruments for a bluegrass jam or just come listen. They take place 10-11 a.m. Tuesdays in the multipurpose room.

Caregiver Support Group: The family caregiver support group meets 3-4 p.m. the third Tuesday of each month, and all caregivers are welcome. For more information and to register, call 704-736-8410 and ask for Becky.

Elder Law Program: Jesse Bone, Elder law attorney, and associates with Heritage Law will discuss “Crash Course: Medicaid for Long term Care” at 2 p.m. July 19 at the Denver Fire Department.

Financial Planning: Financial Advisor Chris Rhyne will discuss Planning For The Future: What You Can Do For Your Kids And Grandkids. This month’s takes place 2 p.m. July 19 at the Lincoln County Senior Services multipurpose room.

Meet and Greet: Any seniors who would like to have a meal with others are invited to have a meal together. Nutrition voucher clients are encouraged to attend. This month is being held 4 p.m. July 24 at Capt’n Pete’s in Lincolnton. Call senior services to reserve a spot. Cost of the meal is not included, though voucher clients can use their vouchers.

Technology help :The computer lab is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday except when closed for classes or activities. The fitness room is open Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Other technical questions: For those with questions about their computer, call 704-732-9053 and leave contact information and what’s needed to have an instructor to schedule a meeting time. A Smartphone and Tablet clinic is held 1-3 p.m. the first Tuesday of the month. The next one is Aug. 7.
