HUNTERSVILLE – Lake Forest Church, which has a Denver campus, is holding its next 3rd Fridays event 7-9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 17 at the Huntersville campus.

Women are invited to talk about faith, build friendships and bring back the lost art of “just visiting” with each other.

Unity Presbyterian is starting Jacob series

DENVER –  Unity Presbyterian Church is starting a new sermon series about the story of Jacob Sunday, Aug. 12.

Over the course of this series, Pastor David Bonnema wants people to pay attention to how Jacob’s life begins to change.

Jacob’s story begins in Genesis 25:19-34 and continues from Genesis 27 through Genesis 33.

Unity Presbyterian is at 8210 Unity Church Road. Sunday worship services are at 10 a.m.

Denver Baptist to study Apostles' Creed

DENVER – Denver Baptist Church is holding a women’s Bible study and fellowship from 6-8 p.m. Tuesdays starting Aug. 14.

The study of Matt Chandler’s “The Apostles' Creed” book will take place in the church’s West Campus Commons. Participants will examine central Christian doctrines and some of the false teachings that surround them. The book costs $13.50.

Adaptive program coming to Holy Spirit

DENVER – The Friends of Jesus adaptive program is starting Sept. 9 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. It is designed to help children with a variety of disabilities continue to develop their relationship with God.

Classes will be held weekly from 9:40-10:30 a.m. Registration is required, but there is no fee. To register or obtain more information, contact Laura Rowe at MSyouth@holyspiritnc.org.
