Cora Wilson Sutton

LINCOLNTON – Cora Wilson Sutton, 85, died Saturday, Nov. 10, 2018, at Robin Johnson Hospice House in Dallas.

She was born April 28, 1933, in Lincoln County to the late Hamlin E. Wilson and Vergie Clark Wilson.

She was preceded in death by her husband Carl Eugene Sutton.

She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her daughters, Linda Sutton of Lincolnton, Sandra S. Koback and husband, Robert, Debbie S. Moss of Stanley and Gail S. Parker of Lincolnton; brother, Glenn Wilson and wife, Twila; sister, Wilma Bayer of Ohio; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Services were held Nov. 12 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed at Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Thomas Edwin Roach

LINCOLNTON – Thomas Edwin Roach, 85, died Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2018.

Roach was born March 15, 1933, in Alexander County, to the late Henry Lee and Addie Lynch Roach.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Henry Lee Roach; and sisters, Joyce Roach Avery, Linda Roach Wilkinson and Emily Roach Howard.

He served in the United States Air Force, where he was a civil servant aircraft mechanic at Andrews Air Force Base.

Survivors include his wife, Ermintrude Grigg Roach; son, Charles Edwin Roach and wife, Susan, of Lincolnton; daughters, Karen Cayer and husband, David and Dianne Elaine Perkins of Lincolnton; brother, Charles William Roach and wife, Debbie of Lincolnton; sisters, Martha Sigmon and Charlotte Lynch, both of Lincolnton, and Sandra Huffsteller and husband, Johnny; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Services were held Nov. 10 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
