Rhonda Stallings Reinhardt

LINCOLNTON – Rhonda Stallings Reinhardt, 64, died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2019.

She was born Nov. 6, 1954, to the late Howard Eugene Stallings and Pauline Hester Stallings.

She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, Terry Reinhardt; daughter, Misty Reinhardt; and three grandsons.

Services were held Jan. 9 at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Lincolnton.

Robert Vernon Hecht

DENVER – Robert Vernon “Bob” Hecht, 68, died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2019.

He was born Dec. 7, 1950, in Norfolk, Va., to the late John Wallace Hecht and Gladys Louise Houston Hecht.

He was the owner of Hecht Realty in Denver, a charter member of the Denver Lake Norman Rotary Club and the founding member of the Lincoln County Board of Realtors.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Pamela Hecht Stone.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Mackie Hecht; son, Andrew Hecht and wife, Whitney; daughter, Nicole Howard and husband, Blake; and two grandchildren.

Services were held Jan. 5 at Unity Presbyterian Church.

Peggy Ann McMurry Gates

LINCOLNTON – Peggy Ann McMurry Gates, 78, died Thursday, Dec. 27, 2018, at Carillon Assisted Living in Lincolnton.

She was born March 8, 1940, in Lincoln County to the late Bartley Jackson and Nellie Motz McMurry.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Mason Gates, and a brother, Charles McMurry.

Survivors include her children, Mason Gates Jr., Scottie Gates, Cathy McGrath, Crystal Starnes and Debbie Barnes; brothers, Jerry McMurry, Bobby McMurry and Frankie McMurry; sister, Becky Mull; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Services were held Dec. 29 at Burke Mortuary Chapel.
