Addison Kent Parrish

DENVER – Addison Kent Parrish, 23, died June 27, 2018.

He was born to Jimmy Parrish and Lana Cherry Parrish.

He played baseball for East Lincoln High School and American Legion Post 455 and worked at Trillium Resort in Cashiers.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Eddie and Becky Tyner Parrish.

Survivors include his parents; brothers, Cason and Jameson of Denver; maternal grandparents, Steve and Gailya Callaway Cherry of Denver; paternal grandmother, Linda Wilhelm Parrish; uncle and aunt, Dennis and Allison Cherry Horne; cousins, Dawson, Allden and Ansley of Denver; uncle and aunt, Lee and Cyndi Moore Parrish of Cornelius; cousin, Trey; and uncle, Kevin Cherry.

Services were held July 3 at East Lincoln High School Denver. He was buried in the Denver United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Amber’s Army and Danny Duckworth via Allison Horne, 7964 Keistler Store Road, Sherrills Ford, NC 28673. A high school baseball award is being created in his memory.

Thomas James Baltimore 

LINCOLNTON – Thomas James Baltimore, 74, died June 26, 2018.

He was born Feb. 13, 1944, in Illinois to the late Ralph and Hennrietta Lee Baltimore.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Lee Baltimore; sisters, Fern Baltimore and JoAnn Siddell; and a grandson.

He was a U.S. Army veteran and worked as a fire captain for the Hillsborough County (Fla.) Fire Department.

Survivors include his wife, Kathleen Frances Price Baltimore; sons, Daniel Wersching and Thomas J. Baltimore II; daughters, Karen Talhambouris and Rosemarie Garcia; six grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

Services were to be held at a later date.

Ruth Ledford Sigmon

LINCOLNTON – Nora Ruth Ledford Sigmon, 95, died June 20, 2018.

She was born May 4, 1923, in Lincoln County to the late Lee and Texie Sain Ledford.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry L. Sigmon; four brothers; and three sisters.

Survivors include her son, Robert “Bob” Lee Sigmon and wife, Ethel, of Lincolnton; two grandsons; and five great-grandchildren.

Services were held June 24 at Daniels Lutheran Church.

John Ervin Rice 

KANNAPOLIS – John Ervin Rice, 70, died June 18, 2018.

He was born Nov. 28, 1947, in Charlotte to the late Felix Jiles and Virgina Deaton Rice.

He was preceded in death by his son, Gary Paul, and many siblings.

Survivors include his son, John Ervin Rice Jr. and wife, Darlene Rice; daughter, Emilee Rice Martin and husband, James, of Denver; siblings, Barbara Bullard, Patti McGinnis and husband, Glenn, Diane Husband and husband, Wayne, Darnell Rice and Gary Rice and wife, Debbie; five grandchildren; and a great-grandson.

Services were held June 21 at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens in Charlotte.

Rachel Marie Michaud Loth

IRON STATION – Rachel Marie Michaud Loth, 59, died June 17, 2018.

Loth was born on May 25, 1959, to the late Roland Michaud and Theresa (St. Pierre) Michaud.  

Loth worked at the Lincoln County YMCA and Sally’s YMCA in Denver.

Survivors include her husband, Francis “Frank” Loth of Iron Station; sons, Christopher Loth and Daniel Loth of Iron Station; sisters, Linda (Michaud) Desjardins and Rena Michaud-Small and husband, Don; brothers, Donald Michaud and wife, Sally, Eugene Blue Michaud and Gerald Michaud and wife, Gloria.

Services were to be be held at a later date.

Everett Hilary Herman

LINCOLNTON – Everett Hilary Herman, 78, died June 16, 2018.

He was born Sept. 12, 1939, to the late Marshall E. Herman and Stella Eubanks Herman.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Richard Franklin Herman and Marshall Dwight Herman.

Survivors include his wife, Mary P. Herman; stepsons, Tony Pruitt of Iron Station and Paul Pruitt; stepdaughter, Tammy Rinck of Lincolnton; and seven grandchildren.

Services were to be held at a later date at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Lincolnton.
