LINCOLNTON – The Lincoln County Apple Queen is back representing the east side of the county. Kayla Marie Jackson, a 2019 graduate of East Lincoln High School, was named this year’s Apple Queen at the 41st annual scholarship pageant held Aug. 3 at the James W. Warren Citizens Center.

The last three years the pageant winners have been West Lincoln students or grads; the 2018 winner was Destiny Self. Pageant organizer Lincolnton Business and Professional Women’s Club awards $8,000 in scholarship funding, with $3,000 given to the winner.
