LINCOLNTON – The Lincoln County Emergency Operations Center (EOC) was activated around 6 p.m. last night “in response to a strong wave of storms that moved through Lincoln County,” according to a Facebook post written by Lincoln County Emergency Management.

As of 1:35 p.m. all roads in east Lincoln started operating as usual, but there are still several closures in Lincolnton area, according to Emergency Medical Services Director Ron Rombs. The following streets remain closed due to storm damage: Gates Road, Poston Drive, Devine Road, Ramseur Street, Pressley Drive and Hestertown Road.
