DENVER – An employee at a Wendy’s restaurant in Denver is charged with using a customer’s credit card to make unauthorized purchases.
Breiana Lei McAfee, 18, of Lincolnton, was arrested and charged with two counts of obtaining property by false pretenses and two counts of identity theft.
According to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, a Denver woman told deputies May 7 that someone had been using her credit card, which she remembered last having at Wendy’s. She said multiple unauthorized charges had been made.
The victim called the Wendy’s, 258 N.C. 16, and was told the card was at the restaurant. After an investigation by a detective, McAfee was arrested June 27. She was released on a $15,000 secured bond.
