PUMPKIN CENTER – North Lincoln High School Principal Mitch Sherrill has retired after being placed on paid administrative leave by Superintendent Lory Morrow earlier this month.

Lincoln County Schools said it could not comment on the suspension because it was a personnel matter.

The district has already started searching for Sherrill’s replacement, and a survey was released June 13 seeking feedback on the desired characteristics for an effective principal at North Lincoln.

Lincoln County Schools Director of Secondary Education Samantha Campbell will assist North Lincoln’s remaining administrative staff with day-to-day operations.
