LINCOLNTON – A two-month undercover operation led to the arrest of a Charlotte man on drug charges.

Officers with the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division were conducting an investigation into narcotics trafficking that led them to the suspect, Ermal Kryeziu, 26, according to a Sheriff’s Office news release.

Between August and September, officers made several undercover purchases of MDMA and ecstasy from Kryeziu. He was arrested by Lincoln County narcotics officers during a traffic stop Nov. 2.

Kryeziu was charged with one felony count each of possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver a controlled substance; and selling and delivering a controlled substance. He is also charged with eight counts of trafficking in MDA/MDMA, four counts of conspiracy to traffic MDA/MDMA and one count of possession with the intent to manufacture, sell and deliver a controlled substance, according to the release.

Kryeziu was put under a $350,000 secured bond. He had a first appearance in court Nov. 5.
