The Huntersville Police Department is looking for a 72-year-old man who signed himself out of a medical facility Friday and didn’t come back.
Oscar Strange is described as a 6-foot-1, 180-pound black man with partially gray hair who may be wearing a T-shirt and sweatpants.
He reportedly signed himself out of the Huntersville Health and Rehabilitation Center at 13835 Boren St. Police say he left with a younger man, who Strange identified as his nephew.
Strange has glaucoma and takes insulin to manage his diabetes.
“Staff and family have not been able to contact Mr. Strange and it is unclear if he is properly being cared for, medically,” HPD said in a press release. “At this time, there are no indications that Mr. Strange is in imminent danger or harm.”
Anyone with information about Strange’s whereabouts is asked to call HPD at 704-464-5400, or dial 911.
