HUNTERSVILLE – Children from Caterpillar Ministries will perform a song during the Sunday, Aug. 19, worship service at Ramah Presbyterian Church.

Caterpillar Ministries partners with the Huntington Green community in Huntersville to experience abundant life through Christ together, according to its website. The organization provides back-to-school supplies, summer camps, teen nights, Bible study, sewing classes, a food pantry and more.

There will be an ice cream social immediately following the service, which begins at 10 a.m.

Women’s group starting at Huntersville Presbyterian 

HUNTERSVILLE – The Women’s Circle group at Huntersville Presbyterian Church starts Sept. 10.

The group meets monthly, and participants invite all ladies to gather as they begin planning fellowship, bible study, mission projects and more.

Women’s Circle meets at 10:30 a.m. for an hour in the church’s room 202. This year’s Bible study was written by the Rev. Amy Sutherlun and is titled “God’s Promise: I Am With You.” The books are available for pickup from the church office.

DUMC cancer group to meet

DAVIDSON – Davidson United Methodist Church holds its Cancer Care for Survivors and Those Who Love Them group 7-8:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16.

The group meets in the church’s room 220. It’s designed as a place where survivors and their caregivers are welcomed, where expression of emotion is valued and respected and where people can be honest about their struggle with faith, the church’s website states.

HUMC hosts children’s group

HUNTERSVILLE – Club 3:16 at Huntersville Methodist Church is holding a meet-and-greet Sept. 9 for fourth- and fifth-graders and their parents.

The group gathers once a month to strengthen friendships through fellowship and community service projects. The meet-and-greet will follow the church’s 10:30 a.m. service in the Solid Grounds Coffee House.

Preschool registration available at Assurance 

HUNTERSVILLE – The preschool for ages 2-5 at Assurance United Methodist Church runs September through May.

Tuition prices are for two days a week up to five days. The preschool hours are 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Daily activities include special centers, circle time, chapel time, art projects, academic learning, social interaction and music time. There will also be on-site field trips, children’s church, science time, classroom parties and special events such as Latta Plantation programs.
