As part of their history studies, third graders at Huntersville Elementary School spent weeks researching individual characters in preparation for a "wax museum" type inter-active exhibit on June 7, the next to the last day of classes for the 2017-18 school year.

After selecting a person from the past they wanted to study, students conducted biographical research and then created costumes to help them depict and bring their characters to life during wax museum presentations to fellow students.

The characters on display during the event included Sir Isaac Newton, Martin Luther King Jr., Queen Elizabeth, Roberto Clemente, Lucille Ball, Albert Einstein and a host of other scientific, government, sports and entertainment icons from different eras of United States and global history.
