DAVIDSON – A local law firm has changed its name to reflect an internal promotion.
The law firm Bringewatt, Wolter & Snover – previously Bringewatt & Snover – has added Karen Wolter as a named managing partner.
In declaring the name change, the firm also announced the addition of Erin Lang Henegar to the practice as a partner.
Wolter has been a partner at the firm since 2009 and will continue to practice in the areas of municipal law, corporate governance and risk management. As a managing partner, Wolter will assist with the administrative functions of the firm, primarily in the areas of marketing and client management.
“Our firm has been on an exciting growth trajectory for several years. Karen has been a big part of that growth and I’m proud that we are taking the step to recognize her contribution by adding her as a named managing partner,” firm founder Kevin Bringewatt said in a statement.
Prior to joining Bringewatt, Wolter & Snover, Henegar served as senior counsel in the Real Estate department of Mayer Brown LLP, assistant general counsel in the Global Corporate Investment Banking and Commercial Real Estate division of Bank of America Corporation and as counsel in the Specialized Finance department of Kennedy Covington LLP (now K&L Gates LLP).
Bringewatt, Wolter & Snover has offices at 442 S. Main St.
