DAHLONEGA, Ga. – In ceremonies held Dec. 15 at the University of North Georgia, Alec M. Greenberg of Huntersville earned a degree in marketing and was commissioned in the U.S. Army-Medical Service Corps.

He was one of 25 graduating cadets who were awarded commissions as second lieutenants in the U.S. Army or Georgia National Guard. Greenberg's parents are Jeff and Catherine Greenberg. The new officer is a 2014 graduate of Hopewell High School.

UNG is one of only six senior military colleges in the country.
