Huntersville Presbyterian Church is selling tickets to the Breakfast with Santa.

HUNTERSVILLE – Huntersville Presbyterian Church is selling tickets to the Breakfast with Santa, to be held Dec. 1.

The event is 8-11 a.m. and is in conjunction with the town’s Huntersville Christmas and the Live Nativity that day.

Tickets cost $6 and may be purchased on the HPC website. Huntersville Presbyterian is at 301 S. Old Statesville Road.


Ramah hosting chili cook-off 

HUNTERSVILLE – Ramah Presbyterian Church will have its Veterans Day Chili Cook-off Sunday, Nov. 11.

The event will take place immediately after the worship service honoring veterans.

Ramah is at 14401 Ramah Church Road, Huntersville.


Bethel hosts community Thanksgiving service

CORNELIUS – Bethel Presbyterian Church is hosting this year’s community Thanksgiving Service Nov. 19.

Themed “Celebrating God’s Goodness,” the service will be held at 7 p.m. at Bethel Church, 19920 Bethel Church Road. It will include a variety of music, a welcome message from Cornelius Mayor Woody Washam and meditations from area pastors Jonathan Marlowe (Mt. Zion UMC), Scott Raney (Grace Covenant) and Thomas Boone (Bethel).

This celebration reflects elements of worship from many different churches in the area.


Mt. Zion selling crafts, gifts

CORNELIUS – Mt. Zion United Methodist Church will have its annual Christmas Craft & Gift Show featuring more than 30 local vendors Nov. 17. 

The show’s hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the church, 19600 Zion Ave. Santa will be there offering studio-quality holiday photos from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Country Store offers a variety of baked goods, and the Zion Café will be providing meals and snacks throughout the day. Proceeds support Mt. Zion’s women and children’s ministries.
