Luke Maye Hough

Luke Maye will return to Hough High School April 24 as part of the ACC Barnstorming Tour.

CORNELIUS – The 2019 edition of the ACC Barnstorming Tour will visit Hough High School April 24, featuring the school’s all-time leading scorer.

This year's roster of Atlantic Coast Conference stars will include UNC senior and former Husky Luke Maye, as well as N.C. State senior and Vance High School graduate Torin Dorn. Former UNC and NBA player Phil Ford will serve as one of the coaches.

Maye had his No. 32 jersey retired at Hough in January.

The ACC players will take on the top seniors from the I-Meck 4A conference.

The 41-year tour has provided a rare up-close-and-personal look at legendary players such as Michael Jordan, Len Bias, Dereck Whittenburg, Tyler Hansbrough, Nolan Smith and Tyler Zeller to fans across the southeastern United States.

This year’s tour will consist of eight games over three weeks.

In addition to the basketball games, each stop will also consist of a 3-point and dunk

contest. Players will be available following the game for a limited autograph session with general admission ticket-holders. VIP ticket-holders will have access to reserved front-row seating to the game, a postgame reception with the ACC All-Stars, and a photo/autograph session.

A portion of the proceeds from each game will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House. Additional proceeds will also benefit each hosting high school.

Doors open at 6 p.m., and the game starts at 7:30 p.m. at Hough, 12420 Bailey Road.

Along with online sales, tickets will be available for purchase during school hours at Hough and Huntersville Elementary, and during business hours at Tender’s Fresh Foods on Statesville Road. General-admission tickets are $16, and VIP tickets are $65. Tickets purchased in person are sold on a cash-only basis.
