MOORESVILLE – The North Meck girls soccer team picked up a huge win March 29 by defeating previously unbeaten Mooresville 3-0.

The Vikings, who improved to 7-6 overall and 3-4 in the I-Meck 4A, got two goals in the first half. Freshman Noelle Roberts was the first to get past the Blue Devils’ defense, then junior Isabel Pederson knocked one home following a long pass.

Elista Parks, another junior, scored the final goal in the second half. Sophomore Tara Olds had two assists, and Parks had the other.

Sophomore Julia Ruffin recorded nine saves in goal.
