James Olin Hathcock

DAVIDSON – James Olin Hathcock, 94, died April 22, 2019, in Huntersville.

He was born Sept. 9, 1924, in Cabarrus County to the late Adam Alexander Hathcock and Cora Justine Smith Hathcock.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Force and retired from Mineral Research & Development.

Survivors include his sons, Phillip Wayne Hathcock and wife, Reena, of Davidson, Paul Thomas Hathcock and wife, Deborah, and Douglas Olin Hathcock and wife, Connie; and five grandchildren.

Services were held April 23 at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.

Andrew J. Owens

DAVIDSON – Andrew J. “Andy” Owens, 34, died April 17, 2019, in Mooresville.

He was born February 23, 1985, in Milwaukee, Wisc., to the late J. Craig Owens and Candace Raymond Owens.

He worked at a local nursery/garden center.

Survivors include his mother and uncle.

Services will be held at 5 p.m. Friday, April 26, at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home.

Patricia Ann Giovanini

HUNTERSVILLE – Patricia Ann Giovanini, 66, died April 16, 2019.

She was born Feb. 3, 1953, in Bradford, Pa., to the late Norm and June Benteen.

She worked for the Pikes Peak (Colo.) Library District.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Sue and Perri Ellen; and brothers, Mike and Chuck.

Survivors include her husband, Dan; son, Gary Giovanini and wife, Marissa Schnell; daughter, Catie Giovanini and husband, Branden; and sisters, Jeanne, Lori, Nancy and Nina.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 27, at Grace Covenant Church.

Shirley Marian Auten Keistler

HUNTERSVILLE – Shirley Marian Auten Keistler, 83, died April 13, 2019.

She was born June 7, 1935, in Walterboro, S.C., to the late Horace Warren Auten and Freida Gasque Auten.

She worked as a secretary for Acker Baugh in Charlotte.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Lee Keistler; brothers, William Lee “Bill” and Joseph Lee “Joe” Auten; and sister, Jean A. McClure.

Survivors include children, Lynda Keistler Thomas and husband, Lawrence, Shirley Elizabeth Keistler and Michael Kemmett Keistler; sisters, Anne Torrence Gillispie and Mary Elise Webb; and two grandchildren.

Services were held April 18 at James Funeral Home.

Randolph Michael O’Neill

HUNTERSVILLE – Randolph “Randy” Michael O’Neill, 65, died April 10, 2019, in the Commonwealth of Dominica.

He was born Dec. 10, 1953, in Belleville, Ontario, to Florence and the late Thomas O’Neill.

He served in the Canadian Armed Forces as a Naval officer and worked for Bank of America as a data support manager.

Survivors include his mother and husband, Ernie; wife, Jane; children, Liam and Tara; brother, David O’Neill and wife, Suzanne; and sister, Andrea Robichaud and husband, Paul.

Services were held April 20 at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home and later in Belleville, Ontario.
