Delorise Robinson

HUNTERSVILLE – Delorise Robinson, 82, died April 13, 2019.

She was born July 1, 1936, in Big Hill, Ky., to the late Curt and Lydia (Parker) Angel.

She was preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy, her son, Robbie L.; sister, Gwendolyn Cole; daughter-in-law, Sheila A. Robinson; and stepbrothers, Dale and Bruce Hurley.

Survivors include her son, Gregory R. Robinson; Kimberly Lowe and husband, Tony; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 1-2:30 p.m. Thursday, April 18, at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home.

Gene Joseph Gaglione

CORNELIUS – Gene Joseph Gaglione, 78, died April 12, 2019, at his home.

He was born May 16, 1940, in Queens, N.Y.

He served in the U.S. Army National Guard and worked as a custodian engineer in several New York City public schools.

Survivors include his wife, Kathleen; daughter, Nicole Roth and husband, Michael; brother, Edward Gaglione and wife, Tone; mother-in-law, Josephine Trizzino of Cornelius; brother-in-law, Robert Dennen; sister-in-law, Annette Trizzino; sister and brother-in-law, Janice and Jay Scansaroli; and brother and sister-in-law, John and Catherine Trizzino; and two grandsons.

Services were held April 16 at James Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project,; St. Jude Children’s Hospital,; or Shriner’s Hospital,

Norma Marie Stein

CORNELIUS – Norma Marie (Schilling) Stein, 77, died April 12, 2019.

She was born March 8, 1942, in Portland, Ore., to the late Lester Schilling and Anna Schilling.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Jo An Hughes and Delores Vassallo; and brother, Kenneth Shilling.

Survivors include her daughter, Amy Kathleen Stein; sister, Diane King; and one granddaughter.

Services will be held in White Salmon, Wash.

Memorials may be made to American Stroke Association or to a foundation of the donor’s choice.

Lauren Ronald Simonson

CORNELIUS – Lauren Ronald Simonson, 76, died April 9, 2019, at the Levine and Dickson Hospice House.

He was born June 1, 1942, in Webster County, Iowa, to the late Andrew and Ella Simonson.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Carol Carlson.

Survivors include his wife, Kayla; son, Tom and wife, Tellie, of Cornelius; daughter, Teresa Simonson; brother, Roger; and three grandchildren.

Services will be held in Clear Lake, Iowa.

Frances Rose Alfieri

CORNELIUS – Frances Rose Alfieri, 62, died April 9, 2019.

She was born April 25, 1956, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to the late Louis and Marie Alfieri.

Mary Anne Duckworth Davis

HUNTERSVILLE – Mary Anne Duckworth Davis, 74, died April 7, 2019.

She was born Sept. 4, 1944, in Morganton to the late Rufus Ralph Duckworth and Emily Louise Secres Duckworth.

She worked at Southern Metals Company as bookkeeper and office manager.

Survivors include her children, David Christopher Ensley and wife, Jeanna, and Betsy Good and husband, Mike, of Huntersville; five grandchildren; and one great granddaughter.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. May 4 at the family’s residence.

Flowers may be sent to the family’s residence prior to the service.

Larry Wayne Kerr

HUNTERSVILLE – Larry Wayne Kerr, 81, died April 5, 2019, at Novant Health Harris Hospice in Charlotte.

He was born Jan. 11, 1938, in Mooresville to the late Robert and Vernie McLaughlin Kerr.

He and his wife owned and operated Piedmont Grading and Wrecking.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Frazier Kerr; sons, Larry Wayne Kerr Jr. and Lore Kerr and wife, Tina, both of Huntersville; daughter, Teresa Ann Kerr; and five grandchildren.

Services were held April 10 at Hopewell Presbyterian Church.

Memorials may be made to the Junior SRA, 1285 Hall Road, Mt. Ulla, NC 28125 (Rodeo Association of young kids).
