He was born Oct. 29, 1938.

HUNTERSVILLE – Elizabeth Ann League, 86, died April 24, 2019, at Olde Knox Commons.

She was born Aug. 2, 1932, in Davidson to the late Robert and Lelia Knox.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob; brother, Charles Samuel Knox; sister, Tina Knox; and a granddaughter, Kellie Denise Evans.

Survivors include her daughters, Laura Richardson and husband, Dean, Cathy Morrow, Peggy Beard and husband, Wayne; Deborah Brown and husband, Boyce; and Karen Morgan; sons, Jerry Morrow and wife, Lory, and Mark Morrow; one grandson; and one great-granddaughter.

Services were held April 27 at Bethel Presbyterian Church.

Charles Richard Sutton

CORNELIUS – Charles Richard Sutton, 82, died April 24, 2019, at his residence.

He was born April 19, 1937, in Knoxville, Tenn., to the late Callie Mae Sutton and George R. Sutton.

He worked for the Tennessee Valley Authority and Mecklenburg County Building Standards.

Services were held April 29 at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home.

Elizabeth A. Kline

HUNTERSVILLE – Elizabeth A. Kline, 65, died April 23, 2019, at her home.

She born Sept. 9, 1953, in Pittsburgh, Pa., to George and Jeanne (Brisbin) Kline.

She was an actress in community theater.

Survivors include her sister, Priscilla Jacobson, and brother-in-law, Alan Jacobson.

Services will be held 4-6:30 p.m. Saturday, May 4.

Memorials may be made to Animal Friends or to a nonprofit theatre of choice.

Georgia Royster

HUNTERSVILLE – Georgia Taylor Royster, 72, died April 23, 2019, at Levine & Dickson Hospice House.

She was born Oct. 15, 1946, in Lexington to the late Calvin and Ree Taylor.

Survivors include her husband, George “Skeet” Royster; son, Steve Royster and wife, Catherine; daughter, Annette “Netter” Royster Rummler; sisters, Reva Taylor and Cora Taylor; and two grandsons.

Services were held April 28 at James Funeral Home.

Thomas Edward Thornton

HUNTERSVILLE – Thomas Edward Thornton, 23, died April 22, 2019.

He was born April 11, 1996, in Charlotte to Edward and Camille.

He worked at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Thomas Edwards Brown and Robert Erman Thornton; and his step-grandfather, Willie Staggs.

Survivors include his parents; brother, Sam; and grandmothers, Susan Thornton and Barbara Staggs.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 4, at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and Dysautonomia International.
