HUNTERSVILLE – John A. Hill, 66, died May 17, 2019.

He was born April 17, 1953, in Huntington, N.Y., to the late Pauline Hill and Floyd Hill.

Survivors include his wife, Tricia Hill; daughters, Kristen Hill and Deirdra Daugherty and husband, Ryan; and two grandchildren.

A funeral mass will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, May 24, at St. Therese Catholic Church in Mooresville.

Martha Ann Mullis Sloan

HUNTERSVILLE – Martha Ann Mullis Sloan, 87, died May 17, 2019, at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.

She was born Oct. 27, 1932, in Unionville Township.

She retired from the Trust Department at NCNB (now Bank of America) in Charlotte.

Survivors include her children, Deborah Sloan Skinner and husband, John, Wendell Wayne Sloan and wife, Barbara, Meloney Sloan Liebler and husband, Bill, of Huntersville; brother, Joe Mullis and wife, Mildred; sisters-in-law, Betty Jo Mullis, Sherry Mullis and Catherine Hines Sloan; and five grandchildren.

Services were held May 21 at First Baptist Church of Huntersville.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Cabarrus County (Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis) or the building fund of First Baptist Church of Huntersville.

Ray Brackett

DAVIDSON – Ray Brackett, 86, died May 16, 2019.

He was born Jan. 10, 1933.

He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and ran his own accounting firm in Long Island, N.Y., and North Carolina.

Survivors include his wife, Diane Bellas-Brackett; son, David Brackett and wife, Jamie; daughters, Pamela Overcash and husband, Brian, and Dawn Carney and husband; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Services were held May 19 at James Funeral Home.

Pamela J. Fabrizius

DAVIDSON – Pamela J. Fabrizius, 67, died May 15, 2019.

She was born Aug. 1, 1951, in Spring Valley, Ill., to the late Olegario Suarez and Elaine Suarez.

She worked in pharmaceutical sales management.

Survivors include her husband, Michael; sons, Ryan Mooney and wife, Allison, and Eric Mooney and wife, Kaley; daughters, Stephanie Savage and husband, Scott, and Katie Desor and husband, Jeremy; sister, Ginger Barnes and husband, Jack; and seven grandchildren.

John Gerald Skagenberg

HUNTERSVILLE – John Gerald Skagenberg, 91, died May 11, 2019, at Novant Health Huntersville Hospice.

He was born Jan. 31, 1928, in Houtzdale, Pa., to the late Walter and Julia Romese Skagenberg.

He was a Korean War veteran and worked for Superior Tool and Die in Cleveland, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Walker Skagenberg; brothers, Charles, Walter and Robert; and sisters, Elverna and Marie.

Survivors include his daughter, Shelley Wolfe and husband, Howard, of Huntersville; brother, Richard Skagerberg; and two grandchildren.

Services will be held at a later date.
