Frances Shaver Perry

HUNTERSVILLE – Frances Shaver Perry, 80, died June 27, 2018, at Olde Knox Commons.

She was born February 10, 1938, to the late Glenn and Lillie Shaver.

She worked for the Social Security Administration.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Lucille Hair, Lois Shaver and Juanita Shaw; and brothers; Charles, Walter, Glenn Jr. and John.

Survivors include her son, Kevin, and wife, Kelly; sisters, Ruby Herrell and Virgie Monger; brothers, Gene Shaver, Fred Shaver and wife, Ernestine; and one grandson.

Services were to be held in Knoxville, Tenn.

Memorials may be made to the Pat Summitt Alzheimer's Foundation. Services will be held in Knoxville, TN.

Maureen E. Nowak

CORNELIUS – Maureen E. Nowak, 76, died June 26, 2018.

She was born Sept. 5, 1941, in Rathway, N.J., to the late William and Mary Erbeck.

She worked as a legal assistant in New Jersey.

Survivors include her husband, Frank Nowak; son, David Nowak; daughter, Susan Lilly; son, Christopher Nowak of Davidson; and four grandchildren.

Services were held June 29 at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home.

Joyce Totten

CORNELIUS – Joyce Totten, 86, died June 26, 2018, at her daughter’s home.

She was born May 2, 1932, in Bergen County, N.J., to the late Spencer and Johanna Anderson.

Survivors include her husband, Donald; son, Robert; daughters, Kathleen Weber and Diane Faldstein; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Services were to be held in Palatine, Ill.

George Edward Klopp

CHARLOTTE – George Edward Klopp, 71, died June 25, 2018.

He was born to the late Robert James and Mary Ann Reeder Klopp.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran and retired from IBM.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Bob, David, Bill and a sister, Carol.

Survivors include his wife, Doris Jean Klopp; daughter, Lisa Lone, sons; Robert James Klopp and wife, Autumn, Jeffrey Alan Klopp and wife, Charlotte; brother, Gary Klopp and wife, Katie; sister, Linda Turner and husband, Winfred; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services were held June 30 at James Funeral Home.

Mary Frances Loomis

CORNELIUS – Mary Frances Loomis, 82, died June 24, 2018.

She was born Dec. 29, 1935, in Hamersville, Ohio, to the late George and Esta McDavid.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Johnny and wife, Geneva, and Ronnie and wife, Cindy.

Survivors include her children, Shirley Gorni and husband, Ken, Jeannie Schweisthal and husband, Jim, Scott Loomis and wife, Linda, and Shawn Loomis and wife Joshlyn; sisters, Phyllis Miller and husband, Don, and Carol King and husband, Truman; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Services were held July 1 in Georgetown, Ohio.

Andrew Scott Edwards

HUNTERSVILLE – Andrew Scott Edwards, 27, died June 21, 2018, at his home.

He was born Sept. 13, 1990, in Mecklenburg County to the late Darrell and Delane Edwards.

Survivors include his sister, Deanna Edwards; paternal grandparents, Raymond and Anne Edwards; and maternal grandparents, Billy and Joyce Greer.

Services were held June 25 in the chapel of James Funeral Home with burial at Northlake Memorial Gardens.

Sylvia Daniel

CORNELIUS – Sylvia Daniel, 63, died June 19, 2018.

She was born Aug. 18, 1954, in Wilson to the late Jarvis Preston Daniel and Mattie Pearl Capps.

She worked in environmental health and was a martial arts instructor.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Jarvis L. Daniel.

Survivors include her sister, Vicki J. Daniel, and her niece and nephews.

Services were held June 29 at the Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home.

Dennis C. Wright

HUNTERSVILLE – Dennis C. Wright, 88, died June 15, 2018, at Autumn Care in Cornelius.

He was born Jan. 23, 1930, in Hollidays Cove, W.Va., to the late McKinley H. and Frances N. Starky Wright.

He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and worked for Rockwell International in California and Rhode Island.

Survivors include his wife, Gloria Jones Wright; stepchildren, Stuart J. Dunford, Karen Dunford and Bryan Dunford; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Services were held June 21 in Weirton, W.Va.
