Anne Catherine Peretti

HUNTERSVILLE – Anne Catherine Peretti, 70, died June 9, 2018.

She was born Oct. 16, 1947, in East Lansing, Mich., to the late Wilfred Godfrey and Lucille Tompkins.

She was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Tom Peretti.

Survivors include her husband, Laurence Peretti; daughter, Angelina Peretti; sisters, Jane Givens and husband, Pete, and Lynne Heiden and husband, Ralph; and sister-in-law, Loretta Peretti.

Services were held June 19 at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.

William Frederick Stallings

CHARLOTTE – William Frederick “Fred” Stallings, 77, died June 8, 2018, at his home.

He was born March 7, 1941, in Charlotte to the late Johnnie Holton Stallings and the late Excell Rozzelle Stallings.

He served in the U.S. Army National Guard and worked for Eastern Airlines.

He was preceded by Harold Eugene “Gene” Bergh and Tammy Willis.

Survivors include his sons, Stephen Sean Stallings and wife, Sarah, and Jason Saywell Stallings and wife, Jennifer, of Davidson; brother, Michael Holton Stallings of Huntersville; sister, Joyce Stallings Bergh; and five grandchildren.

Services were held June 16 at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home and Independence Hill Baptist Church.

John W. Martin

DAVIDSON – John W. Martin died June 8, 2018, near Lake Norman.

He was born to the late James Edwin Martin and Barbara Hogan Martin.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran and worked in power transmission sales in Virginia.

He was preceded in death by his brother, James Edwin Martin Jr.

Survivors include his wife, Judith Brady Martin; son, John Wright Martin III and wife, Whitney Wade Martin; sister, Janie Martin Crabtree; and two grandsons.

Services were held June 16 at Davidson United Methodist Church.

James David Laney

HUNTERSVILLE – James David Laney, 68, died June 8, 2018, at his home.

He was born Aug. 20, 1949, in Monroe to James Eugene and Mildred Moore Laney.

He was a U.S. Army veteran and owned and operated Laney Brothers Specialty Contracting and Safety Check Inspections.

He was preceded in death by his three brothers and one sister.

Survivors include his wife, Dell Pritchard Laney, and daughter, Beverly Elizabeth Laney.

Services were held June 13 at James Funeral Home.

Doris Virginia Lundy

CORNELIUS – Doris Virginia Edwards Lundy, 90, died June 7, 2018.

She was born Dec. 18, 1927, to the late Forest Edwards and Beatrice May Ayer Edwards.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Aflred Lundy; and brothers, Glen Leroy Edwards, Forest Edwards Jr. and Jack Lewis Edwards.

Survivors include her children, Sandy Webb and Michael Lundy; sister, Carolyn Bolyard; and three grandchildren.

Services were held June 15 and 16 at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home.

Barbara Dyson

CORNELIUS – Barbara Jane Barkley Dyson, 83, died June 7, 2018.

She was born in Mooresville to the late Leonard and Johnsie Barkley.

She worked as a dietary assistant at Huntersville Oaks.

Survivors include her sons, James Dyson and Tracy Dyson of Cornelius; daughter, Kelly Dyson Sowards; brother, Edward Dyson; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Services were held June 11 at Church of God Cornelius.

Doris Dean

HUNTERSVILLE – Doris Lovin Dean, 85, died June 6, 2018, at Huntersville Oaks.

She was a classroom teaching assistant in Bean Station, Tenn.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Coy.

Survivors include her son, Kevin Dean and wife, Sandy, of Huntersville.

Services were held June 9 in Morristown, Tenn.

Jesseca Ann-Marie Maloney

HUNTERSVILLE – Jesseca Ann-Marie Maloney, 27, died June 4, 2018, at her residence.

She was born Jan. 8, 1991, in Morganton, W.Va., to James Edward Maloney Jr. and Katrina Dawn Snyder Maloney.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Patty Snyder Himes.

Survivors include her parents; brother, James Edward Maloney and wife, Zenia; paternal grandfather, James Edward Maloney; and maternal grandmother, Charlotte Carter.

Services were held June 9 at Grace Covenant Church.
