Frank D. Earp 

HUNTERSVILLE – Frank D. Earp, 81, died Oct. 4, 2018.

He was born Jan. 30, 1937, in Mint Hill to late John Merritt Earp and Janie Barker Earp.

He was a U.S. navy veteran and helped build Mint Hill Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Walter, JZ, Troy, Louis, William and Bob; and sisters, Marie, Kaye and Jean.

Survivors include his wife, Julia Earp; daughters, Sandy Burleson and husband, Morris, Toni Shaw and husband, Martin, and Sonya Jansen and husband, Chris; brother, Ted Earp; sister, Barbara Atkinson; stepsons, Eddie Karam and wife, Jill, of Huntersville, and Greg Karam and wife, Terri, of Huntersville; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services were held Oct. 6 at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Hospice House of Huntersville or Huntersville United Methodist Church.

George Earl Andrews 

CHARLOTTE – George Earl Andrews, 77, died Sept. 30, 2018.

He was born in Sutter County, Calif., to the late Robert Earl and Mimi Bartels Andrews.

He was a veteran and retired from the U.S. Marine Corps.

Survivors include his daughters, Kerri Anne Perrigin and husband, Shawn, Lisa Marie DeLuca and husband, Paul; son, Joseph W. Delach and wife, Nancy; sister, Ann Marie Sattler and husband, Jake; brother-in-law, Jimmy Clarke and wife, Mary; and sister-in-law, Mary Agnes Tassa and husband, Vince; and nine grandchildren.

Services were to be held in Jacksonville.

Robert Edwin Mohler

HUNTERSVILLE – Robert Edwin Mohler, 73, died Sept. 29, 2018, at Atrium Health-University.

He was born March 21, 1945, in Pittsburgh, Pa., to the late Harold and Hester Mohler.

Services were to be held privately.

Katherine Miller Ranson

HUNTERSVILLE – Katherine “Kitty” Miller Ranson, 85, died Sept. 29, 2018.

She was born Aug. 8, 1933, in Mecklenburg County to the late William Earl Ranson and Sarah Henderson Ranson.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, William Earl Ranson Jr. and wife, Ann, Eugene Henderson Ranson and James Ranson.

Survivors include her brother, Robert Hunter “Bobby” Ranson, and her nieces and nephews.

Services were held Oct. 5 at James Funeral Home and Huntersville Presbyterian Church.

Archer Leonard Dickinson

HUNTERSVILLE – Archer “Dickie” Leonard Dickinson, 69, died Sept. 29, 2018.

Survivors include his wife, Katie; children, Amanda Dickinson, Becky Wells and husband, Charles, and Jon Dickinson; brother, Herb Dickinson and wife, Cheryl; and two grandsons.

Pamela M. Fagan

CORNELIUS – Pamela M. Fagan, 61, died Sept. 28, 2018, at Serenity House in Huntersville

She was born July 13, 1957, in Jersey City, N.J., to the late Otto and June Sluter.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy.

Survivors include her siblings, Nancy Calabria and husband, Sal, and Otto Sluter and wife, Linetta. 

Services will be held in New Jersey.

Artur Pinto

CORNELLIUS – Artur Pinto, 93, died Sept. 27, 2018.

He was born June 3, 1925, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, to the late Jose Pinto and Cecilia de Conceicao.

He was preceded in death by his son, Mike Sousa Pinto.

Survivors include his sons, George Sousa Pinto, Jose Pinto and Tony Pinto; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Thomas Edward Harris Jr.

DAVIDSON – Thomas Edward Harris Jr., 78, died Sept. 25, 2018, at Harris Hospice in Charlotte.

He was born Aug. 30, 1940, in Morganton to the late Mary Francis McDaniel Harris and Thomas E. Harris.

Survivors include his wife, Priscilla H. Harris; children, Pamela VonCannon and husband, Gary, Thomas E. Harris III and wife, Angela, Loudera A. Harris, Stephen M. Harris and Chandra E. Harris; brothers, James C. Harris and wife, Ginger, Anthony G. Harris and wife, Darlene, and Franklin D. Harris and wife, Pam; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Services were held Sept. 30 at Williamson’s Chapel United Methodist Church in Mooresville.
