Henry James Wallace Jr.

MOORESVILLE – Henry James Wallace Jr., 72, died Sept. 11, 2018, at the Brian Center in Mooresville.

He was born Oct. 30, 1945, in Mecklenburg County to the late Henry and Effie Wheeler Wallace.

He worked in the newspaper industry.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Martin Wallace; children, Scott Wallace and wife, Teresa, Matthew Wallace and Heather Wallace Hawk and husband, Joey, all of Mooresville; and two grandchildren.

Services were held Sept. 14 at Berea Baptist Church.

Donnie Ray Robinson

MOORESVILLE – Donnie Ray Robinson 70, died Sept. 10, 2018.

He was born May 27, 1948, in Mooresville to the late James and Bernice Robertson Robinson.

He was a senior systems analyst with Tryon System in Charlotte.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Robinson.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy Crowell Robinson; sons, Bo Robinson and wife, Jennifer, and Greg Robinson and wife, Erin; sister, Sherry Deaton and husband, PR; brother, Rick Robinson and wife, Jean; sister-in-law, Carol Robinson; and four grandchildren.

Services were held Sept. 13 at Mooresville ARP Church.

Hilary Rebekah Ray

HUNTERSVILLE – Hilary Rebekah Ray, 27, died Sept. 10, 2018.

She was born Jan. 19, 1991, to Rebecca Holden Alexander and the late Howard Donald Ray Jr.

She was preceded in death by two sisters and two grandparents.

Survivors include her mother and husband, Troy; children, Makenzie Ray, Gary Hart Jr., Travis Hart and Kendrick Ray; sister, Nichole Ray and husband, Jaylan; brother, Trey Alexander; and grandmothers, Violet Overcash and Sara Ray.

Services were held Sept. 17 and 18 at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home.

Liana Theresa Kuras

DAVIDSON – Liana "Lee" Theresa Richard Kuras, 85, died Sept. 9, 2018.

She was born Jan. 7, 1933, in Worcester, Mass., to the late Olivier Joseph Richard and Marie Richard.

She worked for the town government of South Windsor, Conn., including as town clerk.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Kuras.

Survivors include her brother, Joseph “Roger” Richard; sons, Steve and wife, Margaret, and Ken; and two grandsons.

Services were held locally Sept. 13 at The Pines at Davidson.

Harry John Walling Jr.

CHARLOTTE – Harry John Walling Jr., 67, died Sept. 8, 2018, at his home.

He was born April 7, 1951, in Neptune, N.J., to the late Harry and Johanna Walling.

He was a U.S. Air Force veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Pat Walling; daughter, Kristen Schachner and husband, Christian; sons, David John Walling and Jonathan Michael Walling; and two grandsons.

Norma Marie Botto Viana

HUNTERSVILLE – Norma Marie Botto Viana, 93, died Sept. 7, 2018, at Olde Knox Commons.

She was born June 25, 1925, in Union City, N.J., to the late Edvigio Botto and Elsa Garbaccio Botto.

She worked as a bookkeeper for a manufacturing company before her retirement.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred F. Viana.

Survivors include her children, Linda Melius and husband, John, and Michael Viana and wife, Carla; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Services were to be held privately.

Elizabeth Marsh

CHARLOTTE – Elizabeth Marsh, 58, died Sept. 6, 2018, at Carolinas Medical Center.

She was born in Beverley, England.

She worked as a nursing assistant at Atrium Health in Concord and previously at Healthy at Home.

Survivors include her husband, Alan; children, Jane and Samantha; brothers, Leonard, Ronald, John and Robert; and sisters, Jennifer and Gloria.

Services were held Sept. 14 at James Funeral Home. One will be held in England at a future date.

Brenda L. McKelvey

DAVIDSON – Brenda L. McKelvey, 76, died Aug. 24, 2018.

She was born to the late Edward Lee and Mary Phelps Rogers.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Howard “George” Ragsdale and Daniel Edward Rogers.

Survivors include her husband, Jim; children, Mark and wife, Debbie, and Derek and wife, Julie; and four grandchildren.

Services were held Sept. 8 in Davidson.
