CORNELIUS – The Hough girls soccer team entered the postseason unbeaten at 18-0-2, but lost to Ronald Reagan High 1-0 in overtime Friday.

Sophie Faircloth scored 1 minute, 12 seconds into the first overtime period, which proved to be winning goal.

One of Hough's best scoring chances came with about 3 minutes to go in the second overtime, when the Huskies got a shot on goal, followed by a scrum in front of the goal. The ball was eventually secured by Regan's goalkeeper.

Hough will return the bulk of their offense next spring, as the top two goal-scorers are junior Hailey Matthews and sophomore Camden Poole.
