Davidson Presbyterian Church is having its homecoming Sunday, Oct. 21.

CORNELIUS – Boy Scout Troop 323 is selling pumpkins through Oct. 31 next to Bruster’s Ice Cream.

The troop is also selling decorations, carving kits and templates. Family photos are available as well.

The pumpkin sale is at 17025 Kenton Drive. Troop 323 is chartered by Journey Church of Huntersville.


Cain to speak at homecoming 

HUNTERSVILLE – Huntersville Presbyterian Church welcomes the Rev. Bill Cain for its homecoming service Nov. 4.

Cain is a retired pastor from Bethel Presbyterian Church.

Ramah hosts trunk-or-treat

HUNTERSVILLE – Ramah Presbyterian Church hosts its Trunk or Treat Saturday, Oct. 27.

The church will have a hotdog supper and games followed by letting kids go from trunk to trunk for treats.

DPC celebrates homecoming

DAVIDSON – Davidson Presbyterian Church will celebrate its Homecoming Service Sunday, Oct. 21.

DPC Pastor Darrell Van Pelt will present at 11 a.m., and at 3 p.m. the Rev. Larry Daniel of St. Phillips Baptist Church will speak.

Davidson Presbyterian is at 214 Depot St.


Kits collected at Mt. Zion 

CORNELIUS – Mt. Zion United Methodist Church is collecting items for hygiene kits that will be put together at Halloween FunFest Oct. 28 and distributed by the United Methodist Committee on Relief.

Collection bins are marked “UMCOR” around the Mt. Zion campus. Items for kits can be found at www.umcor.org/umcor/relief-supplies/relief-supply-kits/hygiene or posted around the church.
