Arts center

CORNELIUS – Just a couple weeks after the Cornelius Arts Center received a $5 million gift from Bill and Ericka Cain and a new name of the Cain Center for the Arts, the facility received another donation. N.C. Rep. John Bradford and Sen. Jeff Tarte, who are both up for reelection this year, announced the donation of $125,000 from state funding earmarked for projects making an impact on local communities. Of the total, $100,000 will go to architectural services, with the remaining $25,000 for educational programs. Bradford  and Tarte told the crowd the new arts center for downtown is a transformative project that will benefit Cornelius and the region.
