In the same year he earned his 400th career victory, North Meck boys basketball coach Duane Lewis has been named I-Meck 4A Coach of the Year.

North Meck boys basketball coach Duane Lewis has won more than 400 games in 20 seasons.

Lewis’ 20th team in Huntersville won the conference regular-season title with a 13-1 record and finished 23-5 overall. The Vikings had four players make the All-Conference team, the most of any school in the league – and none were seniors. West Charlotte’s Patrick Williams was Player of the Year.
