Re. article in April 7-13 paper: I, too, live in Huntersville and have also noticed the many planes that now fly over our home. I wonder how many Huntersville homes are affected by this. Unless it is due to a temporary change in the flight pattern, it will lower the resale value of our homes. Could the city please check into this? Thank you.

To answer the quandary about CLT Airport last week, aircraft have been flying the same approach to the southern runways for only a half century or so.   A concept called industrialization has made CLT the second busiest on the east coast.  That mentality makes my job in aviation frustrating.  People want flying service and airplanes do make noise.  If you want silence, move to an uninhabited island.

Shoppers... Looks like we’re going to have a home for sale in LKN.

I just got the newspaper with a list of delinquent taxpayers in Mecklenburg County.  I was appalled!!!  Why are so many individuals getting by without paying property taxes?  Owning one property could be justified, but multiple properties with taxes due?  Why can't some of these properties be put up for sale, auction, or whatever to cover these past due taxes?  People are getting by without paying and putting a burden of raising taxes on people who do pay. Why, why, why???
