DALLAS – The annual Gaston College Health Fair, providing a day-long focus on health, wellness, fitness and nutrition, will be held Monday, April 15, in the Myers Center Breezeway on the Gaston College Dallas Campus.
The free and open-to-the-public event will offer a variety of health assessments and services, interactive exhibits, free samples and other activities. Attendees can get free fitness assessments, blood pressure and diabetes checks, hearing and vision screenings, and can participate in nutrition-and-body-composition consultation activities.
More than 35 vendors and organizations will have informational booths and displays at the Health Fair.
Demonstrations and activities at the 2019 Health Fair will include Raised Barre, CX WORX and yoga with Gaston County YMCA, country dance, an essential oils demonstration and information session from Young Living Essential Oils and nutrition information session from Nutrition To Fruition.
Stephanie Wells, adjunct instructor in the Gaston College Health Promotions Department, is coordinating the event, which is sponsored by the Gaston College Health Promotion Committee.
