Best in Class Education Center, a tutoring business that serves K-12 students, is looking to expand to the northern Charlotte area market.
“We’re looking at Charlotte and outlying cities like Mooresville, Huntersville, Concord, Davidson,” Best in Class’ Sharon Peterson said. “We love to target where families are located.”
Peterson, who is vice president of franchise recruitment and development, said Best in Class has opened 12 locations already this year and has more than 60 locations across the country.
Peterson said they are already working with an interested franchisee in the area but are always looking for more.
Piedmont Insurance Associates relocates
MOORESVILLE – Piedmont Insurance Associates is now in its new location across from the YMCA at 149 Plantation Ridge Drive. The business held a ribbon-cutting with the Mooresville-South Iredell Chamber of Commerce Aug. 28.
The independent insurance agency is family owned and operated and has roots in Mooresville going back decades when Race City Insurance operated separately on N.C. 150. The two agencies merged in 2016 and, together, they service a variety of business and personal insurance policies across the mid-Atlantic region, with a high concentration of customers in the Lake Norman area.
The agency combines a blend of technology and expertise to quote and service policies for many of the state's top-rated insurers, according to a news release from the business.
