The Mooresville Board of Commissioners on Friday will discuss the appointment of an acting town manager, just days after the current manager, David Treme, announced that he would retire effective June 30.
An updated agenda for the board’s Friday pre-agenda meeting includes the manager item.
Treme abruptly announced his retirement Feb. 18 following a two-hour closed session after the board’s regular meeting.
Treme left the commissioners’ planning retreat in Winston-Salem on Thursday after a Mooresville Citizen posted a story revealed that the town was launching a probe into complaints of an abusive work environment at the Mooresville Police Department. He did not return for the Friday portion of the retreat.
This is a developing story. Check back with the Mooresville Citizen for updates.
