Grant Allen Hoke

MOORESVILLE – Grant Allen Hoke, 76, died April 18, 2019.

He was born July 9, 1942, to the late Monroe and Thelma Hoke.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Jane Hoke; sister, Elizabeth Benfield; and brother, Kent Hoke.

Survivors include his wife, Jean Hoke; sons, Allen Hoke and wife, Teri, Michael Hoke and wife, Cheryl; daughters, Lee Anne Miller and husband, Earl, and Teresa Hunsucker; stepchildren, Christy Frye and husband, Mark, Hatchell Jackson and wife, Mandoline, Russell Jackson and wife, Kristen; brother, Terry Hoke and wife, Kathy; sister, Tonda Brooks and husband, Dwain; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services were held April 20 at Liberty Baptist Church.

Marie F. Wiktorek

MOORESVILLE – Marie F. Wiktorek, 87, died April 18, 2019, at her residence.

She was born March 13, 1932, in Hankinson, N.D., to the late Leo and Helen Pelzl Haus.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Richard Engelhard and William Wikorek; son, Rick Engelhard; brothers, Joseph and Lawrence Haus; and sister, Marge Ganje.

Survivors include her children, Elizebeth Bender and husband, Greg, Jean Svenkesen and husband, Larry, and Robert Read and wife, Dorothy; sisters, Bernice Smith and Louise Lang; brothers, Nick Haus and Kenneth Erickson; three granddaughters; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Services were held April 23 at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home.

Andrew Forrest Carter

MOORESVILLE – Andrew Forrest Carter, 34, died April 17, 2019.

He was born April 17, 1985, in Hong Kong to Jackie Weems Carter and the late Eric Carter.

Survivors include his mother; sister, Erica Carter and fiancé, Tim Andrews; and twin brother, Kris Carter.

Services were held April 23 at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home.

James Ronald Honeycutt

MOORESVILLE – James Ronald “Ronnie” Honeycutt, 73, died April 16, 2019, at his home.

He was born Dec. 2, 1945, in Iredell County to the late James Nelson and Lois Novella Oates Honeycutt.

He retired as a master maintenance mechanic for Duke Power at Marshall Steam Plant.

Survivors include his wife, Terry Bennett Honeycutt; daughter, Lynette Honeycutt Broadway and husband, Jeff; brother, Dennis Craig Honeycutt; stepdaughter, Dona Jean McCoy; stepson, Dawson McCoy; and two grandchildren.

Services were held April 20 at Fair View United Methodist Church.

Frank P. Campbell

MOORESVILLE – Frank P. Campbell, 94, died April 13, 2019, at his residence.

He was born Dec. 27, 1924 in Waltham, Mass., to the late Frank and Eva York Campbell.

He was a retired teacher with East Islip School District and a postmaster in Illinois.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Doherty Campbell; sisters, Marie Campbell and Dorathea Stanpfli; and brothers, Ed Campbell and Charlie Campbell.

Survivors include his children, Mary Francis Toomey and husband, Christopher, Mark Campbell, Peter Campbell and wife, Denise, and Francis Campbell; sister, Ruth “Sister Germaine” Campbell; brother, Richard Campbell; and 12 grandchildren.

Services were held April 16 at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home and April 17 at St. Therese Catholic Church.

James Edmund Robbins

MOORESVILLE – James “Jim” Edmund Robbins, 52, died April 13, 2019.

He was born Sept. 11, 1966, in Gloversville, N.Y., to the late Richard Allen Robbins and Nellie Lewis Robbins.

He worked in sales and started his own medical device distributorship.

Survivors include his wife, Tracy Robbins; sons, Dillon and Cole Robbins; sisters, Linda Costello and Valerie Garofalo; and brothers, Rick and Steve Robbins.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 27, at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home.
