Wilma Barnette Plyler

MOORESVILLE – Wilma Barnette Plyler, 87, died April 12, 2019, at Genesis Eldercare.

She was born June 23, 1931, in Mooresville to the late Charles Graham Barnette and Ida Eugene Torrence Barnette.

She was a retired cook.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Pearl Howard “Hook” Plyler; brothers, Dwight Torrence, Charles, Dick and Tom Barnette; and sisters, Mary Taylor Howard, Carolyn Robbins and Dorothy Caldwell.

Survivors include her children, Ranee Farrington, Dean Plyler and wife, Debbie, Darlene Brown and wife, Jackie, Norman Plyler and wife, Karen, and Richard “Butchie” Plyler and wife, Sunshine; sister, Lib Ammons; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Services were held April 14 at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home.

Michael Ernest Henrickson

MOORESIVLLE – Michael Ernest Henrickson, 55, died April 12, 2019.

He was born Aug. 23, 1963, in Escambia County, Fla., to Faye Spake Henrickson and the late Perry Henrickson.

He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and worked for Wayne Brothers Construction.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Mark Henrickson.

Survivors include his mother, Faye Shuler and husband, John; wife, Mary Young Henrickson; children, Brittney Henrickson and partner, Korey, and Brandon Henrickson; sisters, Tamara Loggins and husband, Wesley, and Cheryl Henrickson; brothers, Toby Henrickson and wife, Alison, and Dean Henrickson and wife, Shirley; father- and mother-in-law, David and Leila Young; brothers-in-law, Cecil Young and wife, Karen, and Tommy Young and wife, Martha; and two grandchildren.

Services were held April 17 at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home.

Carol Lee Francischiello

MOORESVILLE – Carol Lee Gradowski Francischiello, 76, died April 11, 2019, at her residence.

She was born Nov. 17, 1942, in Bridgeport, Conn., to the late Chester and Dorothy Malenowski Gradowski.

She worked in hospitality for the Town of Mooresville and volunteered at the Mooresville Soup Kitchen.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Francischiello; daughters, Melanie Connolly and partner, Maureen, and Darla Hargrove; sisters, Dorothy Bukovchek and Susan Ferrara; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

No services will be held at this time.

Gertrude Estelle Keller

MOORESVILLE – Gertrude Estelle Beekman Keller, 94, died April 11, 2019.

She was born Feb. 28, 1925, in Newark, N.J., to the late James and Agnus Walsh Beekman.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Keller.

Survivors include her daughters, Carolyn Jenkins and Susan Friscia; sister, Mary Bingham; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Services were held April 16 at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home and April 17 at St. Therese Catholic Church.

Mary George Priester

MOORESVILLE – Mary George Cobb Priester, 95, died April 10, 2019, at Gordon Hospice House in Statesville.

She was born Sept. 16, 1923, in Jemison, Ala., to the late Charles and Lula Bledsoe Cobb.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Priester; brothers, Otis, Paul, Charles, Wallace, Carlo and Snooks Cobb; and sister, Geannie Cook.

Survivors include her children, Jeanelle Sorenson and husband, Rick, and Charlie Priester; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Saturday, April 20, in Jacksonville, Fla.
