Boris Sheleg

MOORESVILLE – Boris Sheleg, 88, died Aug. 18, 2018, at the Levine and Dickson Hospice House.

He was born on May 2, 1930, in Stratford, Conn., to the late Lawrence and Stella Sheleg.

Survivors include his son, David Sheleg; daughter, Wendy O’Neal of Mooresville; sister, Bunny Rodia and husband, Bob; and five grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of the Charlotte Region.

James William Hoffner

CLEVELAND – James William Hoffner, 90, died Friday, Aug. 17, 2018, at The Laurels of Salisbury.

He was born Dec. 31, 1927, in Mount Ulla to the late Martin Luther Hoffner and Victoria Cline Hoffner.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Blanche Lentz, Thelma Kennerly, Ruth Connelly and Pauline McBride; and brothers, Ivy Lee, Leonard and Carl Hoffner.

Survivors include wife, Ernestine Owens Hoffner; sons, Jimmy Hoffner and wife, Millicent, Lonnie Hoffner and wife, Julie, and Ricky Hoffner and partner, Vanessa; sisters, Margaret Kennerly and Naomi Kepley; brother, Glen Hoffner; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Services were held Aug. 19 at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church.

Nancy Leigh McLean

MOORESVILLE – Nancy Shinn McLean, 88, died Aug. 17, 2018, at Gordon Hospice House in Statesville.

She was born April 20, 1930, in Iredell County to the late Glenn C. Shinn and Erma Tilley Shinn.

She worked as a keypunch operator at Troutman Mills and retired from Draymore Manufacturing in Mooresville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Alec McLean; and brother, Glenn C. Shinn and wife, Montez Mayhew Shinn.

Survivors include her sons, William Alec McLean and James “Jimmy” McLean and wife, Kathy; and two granddaughters.

Services were held Aug. 21 at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed at St. James Episcopal Church Cemetery.

He was born on Feb. 11, 1966, in Schenectady, N.Y., to Norman and Gail Michon Pross.

Pross was an attorney with Wallace & Graham Law Firm in Salisbury.

Survivors include his parents; wife, Kimberly Bordner Pross; daughter, Sara Pross; brother, Jeff Pross and wife, Amy; and father and mother-in-law, Don and Linda Bordner.

Ralph Wayne Hanna

MOORESVILLE – Ralph Wayne Hanna, 62, died Thursday, Aug. 16, 2018, at his home.

He was born July 22, 1956, in Lynchburg, Va., to the late Hanson Bell Hanna and Ann Burks Hanna.

Survivors include his daughter, Kalyn Marie Noack, and stepson, Christopher Jacob Coley.

Services were held Aug. 24 at Tharp Funeral Home in Lynchburg, Va.

TERRELL – Phyllis Ann Kayser Myers, 79, died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2018.

She was born in Albany, N.Y., to the late Thomas and Loretta Radliff Kayser.

MOORESVILLE – Maureen “Mimi” nee Morrongiello Ladimir, 77, died Aug. 14, 2018.

She was born June 5, 1941.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Ladimir.

Survivors include her children, Melinda and Elicia; sons-in-law, Harry New and Ken Wuerfel; and four grandchildren.

Services were held Aug. 17 at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home with a memorial Mass Aug. 18 at St. Therese Catholic Church, Aug. 18.
