Richard David Bryar 

MOORESVILLE – Richard “Dick” David Bryar, 80, died Sunday, Aug. 19, 2018.

He was born on June 2, 1938 in Homewood, Ill., to the late Donald and Elizabeth Blish Bryar.

Bryar served in the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Raymonde “Ramy” Bryar; brothers, Donald and John Bryar; sister, Mary Beth Vasquez; and grandson, Ryan Bryar.

Survivors include his children, Bob R. Bryar and wife, Patricia, Richard D. Bryar Jr. and wife, Carol, and Ronald L. Bryar and wife, Cathy; sisters, Noreen Bryar Galvin and Marilyn Alvarado; brother, Larry Bryar, and wife, Maureen; seven grandchildren; one honorary grandson; and five great-grandchildren.

Services were held Aug. 25 at Saint Stephen Church in Illinois and Sept. 1 at St. Therese Catholic Church. Burial followed at Glenwood Memorial Park.

Susan Elaine Allred Linker

MOORESVILLE – Susan Elaine Allred Linker, 48, died Sunday, Aug. 19, 2018.

She was born Sept. 29, 1969, in Kannapolis to David Charles Allred and the late Cheryl Ritchie Allred.

Linker taught elementary school for almost 20 years.

Survivors include her dad and his wife, Jenny; husband, Bret Grey Linker; son, Benjamin Ebbinkhuysen; step-children, Jacob and Cadee Linker; brother, David Allred Jr. and wife, Trisha; sisters, Lisa Allred, Robin Van Pelt and husband, Josh; and father-in-law, Neel Linker.

Services were held Aug. 25 at River Life Fellowship and Aug. 30 at Grace United Methodist Church in Wilmington.

Memorials may be made to an educational fund for her son, Benjamin Ebbinkhuysen, C/O Brandy Metzger, 156 Brookhaven Trail, Leland, NC 28451 (make checks payable to NC529 plan, minimum donation of $25.)

Jack Owen Watson

MOORESVILLE – Jack Owen Watson, 76, died Sunday, Aug. 19, 2018.

Watson was born June 28, 1942, in Greensboro to the late Owen and Fonnie Watson.

He worked at Procter & Gamble Company, RJ Reynolds, Wrangler Group, Kayser Roth Corporation, Stanback Company and LakeShore Consulting Group, holding various upper-level positions.

He was preceded in death by his brother Mark.

Survivors include wife, Kathy; sister, Linda Hedgecock; children, Dr. Kevin Watson and wife, Amber, and Lara Durbin and husband, Tom; and five grandchildren.

Services were held Aug. 26 at Williamson’s Chapel United Methodist Church.

Memorials may be made to Williamson’s Chapel United Methodist Church.
