MOORESVILLE – Deposits for new town of Mooresville water-and-sewer customers will depend on the outcome of a credit check, according to a policy that went into effect Feb. 1.

The options will be no deposit, $100 or $200. The policy will apply to homeowners renters and business owners.

New customers must supply a Social Security number for the credit check. Those who don’t will be subject to the $200 deposit.

The new policy was adopted by the Mooresville Board of Commissioners in January.
