MOORESVILLE – Beatrice Zindel Hagen, 85, died Monday, April 16, 2018.
A graveside service was held April 19 at Salisbury National Cemetery.

Henry Nathan Sims
MOORESVILLE – Henry Nathan Sims, 77, died Thursday, April 12, 2018, at his home.
He was born March 23, 1941, in Wilsonville, Ala., to the late Rufus Brooks Sims Sr. and Louise H. Sims.
He worked in construction and was a U.S. Air Force veteran.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Jesse T. Sims and Rufus B. Sims Jr.
Survivors include his wife, Charline; his three children, Cindy Sims, Butch Sims and Karen Sims Doersam and husband, Bill; sister, Sandra Hill and husband, Larry; and a grandson.
Services were held April 18 in the Chapel of Cavin-Cook Funeral Home.

David Alan Packett
MOORESVILLE – David “Superman” Alan Packett, 60, died Thursday, April 12, 2018, at Carolinas Medical Center.
He was born May 13, 1957, in Richmond, Va., to the late James Aubrey Packett and Betty Coffman Packett.
He earned his bachelor’s degree from Lynchburg College.
Survivors include his wife, Andrea Pike Packett; children, Adam and wife, Danielle, Darrick, Alex and Madison; brothers, James and wife, Patricia, and Mike and wife, Dana; and two grandchildren.
Services were held April 14 at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home.

Barbara Frances Andrew Wykes
TROUTMAN – Barbara Frances Andrew Wykes, 86, died Wednesday, April 11, 2018.
She was born on March 2, 1932, in Newton, Maine, to the late John and Frances Ashley Andrew.
She was president of National Association of Banking Woman and active in the Coast Guard Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Wykes; sister, Ruth Sloben; brother, Ken Andrew; and two grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Kathleen Van Houten and husband, Ned, Jeanne Malysko and husband, Donald, Diane Miskell, and Cindy Burke and husband, James; sister, Janet Stevens; brothers, Robert Andrew and William Andrew; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services were held on April 16 at Rocky Mount United Methodist Church.

Neil Ernest Townsend
MOORESVILLE – Neil Ernest Townsend, 44, died Saturday, April 7, 2018.
He was born Dec. 3, 1973, in San Antonio to Dennis and Roberta Franklin Townsend.
He volunteered at his son’s school and at the Mooresville Soup Kitchen and coached a T-ball team.
Survivors include his wife, Amy Wright Townsend; son, Cooper Joseph Townsend; mother-in-law, Angela Robertson; and sister, Tracy Townsend Rojas and husband, Curtis Rojas.
Services were held April 14 at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home.

Ann Margaret Reeves Berg
MOORESVILLE – Ann Margaret Reeves Berg, 89, died Thursday, April 5, 2018, at Novant Medical Center, Huntersville.
She was born April 30, 1928, in Astoria, Queens, N.Y., to the late Archibald Frederick Reeves and Alice Margaret Ortlieb Reeves.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Joel Berg; son, Peter Reeves Berg; sisters, Irma Elizabeth Gallagher, Jean Catherine Mackey and Edna Catherine Reeves; and a grandson.
Survivors include her sons, Dwight Huyler Berg and wife, Pam, and Douglas Sande Berg and wife, Stephanie; daughter-in-law, Loydene Hubbard Berg; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services were held April 8 in the Cavin-Cook Funeral Home Chapel.
