Robert Francis Brown 

MOORESVILLE – Robert “Bob” Francis Brown Sr., 88, died Sunday, April 22, 2018, at his residence.

He was born Aug. 25, 1929, in Morristown, N.J., to the late Walter and Sara Cole Brown.

He was a U.S. Army veteran and was retired from Lewis Morris Park in Morris County, N.J.

Survivors include his wife, Audrey Sparks Brown; children, Deborah Yorks, Pamela Pizzuti and husband, Matthew, Robert Brown Jr. and wife, Jackie, and Walter Brown; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Services were held April 25 at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home Chapel.

Jeremy Scott Becker 

MOORESVILLE – Jeremy Scott Becker, 29, died Sunday, April 22, 2018.

He was born Nov. 8, 1988, in Margate, Fla., to William R. Becker and Mimi Wolf Dauderis.

He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.

Survivors include his son, Mason Michael Becker; stepfather, Dean Dauderis; parental grandfather, Marvin Wolf; brothers, Robert Becker, Dylan Becker, Josh Becker and Casey Becker; sister, Rachel Becker; and Abby Willis, the mother of Jeremy’s son.

Services were held April 27 at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home Chapel.

Lucile Wilds McClure

MOORESVILLE – Lucile Wilds McClure, 86, died Saturday, April 21, 2018, at Gordon Hospice House in Statesville.

She was born March 24, 1932, in Columbia, S.C., to the late Marion and Kathryn Bridgman Wilds.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John McClure; and brothers, Marion and Arthur Wilds.

Survivors include her sons, George McClure and wife, Janet, and Marion McClure and wife, Carol; brother, Hugh Wilds and wife, Joyce; and four grandchildren.

Services were held April 28 at First Presbyterian Church, Mooresville.

MOORESVILLE – Kenneth James Guiton, 45, died Friday, April 20, 2018, at his residence.

He was born Feb. 2, 1973, in Binghamton, N.Y., to Sandra Taylor Brokaw (Glenn) and the late Martin Guiton.

He was a motorcycle mechanic.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Colleen Brooks.

Survivors include his wife, Shelia Crump Guiton; stepchildren, Nathan Robinson and Alisha Wilson; sisters, Theresa Kotanchek and husband, Mark, Mary Guiton and friend, Diane Johnson; brother, Martin Guiton Jr. and wife, Paula; and two grandchildren.

CONCORD – Tara Anastasia “Anna” Kenzie Thomas, 19, of Concord, died Wednesday, April 18, 2018.

She was born April 22, 1998, in Charlotte to Tara and Michelle Thomas of Concord.

She was a graduate of Cox Mill High School and was a cheerleader for the Odell Eagles.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Addie Gray Thomas.

Survivors include her siblings, Valentino Thomas, Trevor Threet and Katrina Martin; maternal grandparents, Homer and Mamie Threet; and paternal grandfather, Richard Thomas.

MOORESVILLE – Lennie “Irene” Godfrey Owens, 90, of Mooresville, NC, died April 18, 2018.

She was born March 24, 1928, in Mooresville to the late James. L. Godfrey and Virgie Cooper Godfrey.

She worked for Chemspun Yarn Manufacturing for 33 years before retirement.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie M. Owens; sisters, Lucille Green and Nancy Godfrey; and brothers, Robert, Harry and Richard Godfrey.

Survivors include her daughters, Judy M. Benfield and husband, Randy, Janice L. Owens and Barbara J. Muller and husband, Russ; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services were held April 25 at Broadus Baptist Church in Concord.
