To the person being critical to the Mooresville Soup Kitchen, shame on you.  I am one of those people that drive a nice vehicle and go to the Soup Kitchen.  I along with many others park our nice vehicles on that road and go inside the Soup kitchen.  We then begin to cook, serve, unload truc…

I am writing to you to talk about something good that is happening in Mooresville rather than anything bad. I wanted to talk about the construction on Mooresville High School. I am a freshman this year and I am loving the new building. The construction is going fast and is on schedule. It ma…

KUDOS for the road project on W. McClelland Avenue from Rt. 150 and Stevenson Street in Mooresville. Rather than doing a job by just blacktopping over an existing roadway, the entire distance was properly milled and then repaved, thus eliminating any existing expansion bumps that might have …

While taking out the trash on Tuesday evening, the heavy can was hard to get over the curb. One wheel went onto the road and one wheel stayed between the grass and curbing.  The can began to tip and I tipped with it and face-planted into the yard!  Was a bit stunned and sat there for a few m…

I am so very grateful for the Mooresville police Department!  Their jobs are dangerous and so often they are not appreciated. Everyone is always so anxious to complain and gripe about petty little things.  How often do they wave and thank a police officer?!?!

Kudos to the Mooresville Public Library and Megan Mosher.  Participated in Saturday’s Escape Room there and it was WONDERFUL!  Thanks for all the fun.  A small library with so much innovation and pizzazz!!  Mooresville has a treasure!

The name “OneMain Financial” seems kind of intimidating, especially when you’re calling to ask the name of the hair salon next door. I’m very grateful for the man who answered the phone and kindly went out of his way to go outside and tell me the name of the hair salon.

Thank you, Town of Mooresville, for FINALLY fixing the "dip" on Church St. right near Moore Ave.  It is only been there for YEARS!

I've noticed a lot of anti-Uber sentiment lately and I just want to say I find it unjustified. I used Uber recently when my wife was incapacitated for more than three months due to a fall. Since I do not drive because I have type II diabetes, I contacted an Uber driver and found him to be pr…

Attention flower people, gardeners, etc....toss the old song, 'Spring Will Be a Little Late This Year' out!  I've never seen so many flowers and trees blooming so early.  What a welcome sight!  Spring has sprung, albeit early!  Welcome another old tune, 'Spring Is Here,' so enjoy!

Thank you for your article spelling out all the forms of plastic that can be recycled at Harris Teeter. I've been recycling plastic shopping bags there for a decade, yet never knew they accepted so many more forms of plastic too. I'm so glad to know they can be repurposed too.

Shout out to the gentleman who hoisted my new microwave out of the cart and into my van at Lowe’s Saturday, unasked. My little family moved to Mooresville in August, and we have been repeatedly impressed with the demonstrated kindness here.

There are some truly nice people out there and my wife and I would sincerely like to thank the couple who sat next to us at the Epic Chophouse on Saturday January 14th.. They heard that it was our 49th wedding anniversary and without any mention, directly to us, went ahead and paid for our d…

I'm happy to see we are peeved about the growth issues our town faces and have faith that it will all work out, because we are smart and will work together for the best living experience. After all  it could be worse, we could be peeved about the opposite, no growth, no jobs, high cost of ho…

Kudos to the wonderful people who come out every year, in the cold, and put up the beautiful Christmas lights in downtown Mooresville!!!  Thank you SO much!

We live in such a negative world and are constantly bombarded with horrible news. Why don't you make your peeved column about something positive, or make it a column to give thanks. I'm thankful for my amazing neighbors and supportive family.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the many medical professionals including the amazing emergency response team, and the skillful doctors and nurses at Lake Norman Regional Center after my wife fell and suffered serious injuries and to the top-notch physical therapists at the Aut…
