CORNELIUS – Our Towns Habitat for Humanity will be dedicating a home Sunday, Dec. 16, in Mooresville, and many local churches have contributed to its construction.

Home sponsors include Elevation Church, Grace Covenant, Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, St. Alban’s Episcopal Church, LIFE Fellowship Church, Radiant Life Fellowship and Community in Christ Church.

The home at 310 Clover St. in Mooresville will be dedicated at 2 p.m. All are invited to attend.


First Baptist hosts Christmas event

MOORESVILLE – The Music Ministry of First Baptist Church Mooresville will share “Songs at the Manger,” an evening of reflection and meditation, at 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16, in the sanctuary.

The service will include instrumental and vocal soloists with Scripture readings designed to prepare parishioners for Christmas.

The service is free, and the public is invited to attend.

West UMC hosts December events

MOORESVILLE – West United Methodist Church is hosting a number of December events for its members and the community at Lake Norman High School.

• Dec. 16: Members can wrap Ding Dong Ditch donations and deliver gifts to anonymous nominees after the 10 a.m. service. There will also be a gift market open, which will donate proceeds to the Acres of Hope organization in Uganda.

• Dec. 23: Santa’s Toy Factory Musical Performance will take place at 10 a.m., and free photos with Santa will be available afterward. There will be a second showing of the musical at 5 p.m. with free hot cocoa and cookies with Santa.

• Dec. 24: The Christmas Eve Glow Stick Service will take place at 5 p.m. There will also be a more traditional service with candlelight at the same time.
