MOORESVILLE – According to the St. Therese Catholic Church website, several members of the church have received an email from someone posing as the pastor, the Rev. Mark Lawlor, and requesting the purchase of gift cards to be given directly to someone else.

The church asked that anyone who receive one of these requests to delete them immediately, saying he would never email a person asking them to purchase a gift card.

To verify the legitimacy of a request from any of the parish clergy, call the parish office at 704-664-3992.
