MOORESVILLE – Police are looking for a suspect in Monday robbery at First Citizens Bank, 241 Medical Park Road, just east of Interstate 77 Exit 33.

According to the Mooresville Police Department, a man entered the bank at about 2:20 p.m. and passed a note demanding cash to an employee. He did not display a weapon, police said. The suspect fled with an undetermined amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a black male wearing camo green pants, a red hoodie and oversized sunglasses. He has a very slim build, and is approximately 5-feet-8 or 5-feet-9 in height.

The suspect was seen getting into the passenger side of an aqua green/blue passenger vehicle (possibly an older model Toyota Avalon) and was last seen traveling on Fairview Road toward N.C. 115. The vehicle, which was driven by another person, has damage on the right-front quarter panel, five-star rims and a temporary South Carolina dealership tag, police said.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information about the suspect or vehicle
