Two Monroe men face multiple charges in connection with multiple vehicle thefts and break-ins in the Mooresville area.

Elijah Bennett, 17, and Jordan Edward Thomas, 19, were arrested this week after police in Monroe stopped a vehicle that had been reported stolen from an area off N.C. 152 just east of Mooresville.

That vehicle and two others had been reported stolen Tuesday from the Rain Shadow Drive and Country Lake Drive areas, according to the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office. Several vehicle break-ins were reported in the same areas.

The vehicles involved were not locked, the sheriff’s office said.

The two suspects are charged with first degree burglary, three counts of larceny of a motor vehicle, four counts of felony breaking and entering a motor vehicle, and larceny. All of the charges are felonies.

Bennett was given a $40,000 bond.The bond for Thomas was $30,000.
