Mooresville soccer

Following its loss to Lake Norman, Mooresville fell to 9-4 overall and 4-4 in the I-Meck 4A.

MOORESVILLE – Lake Norman girls soccer defeated Mooresville 1-0 April 9, sweeping the season series against their rival.

In the first match April 6, the host Wildcats came away with a 2-1 victory.

Lake Norman improved to 13-1 and 9-1 in the I-Meck 4A, while Mooresville fell to 9-4 and 4-4. The Wildcats travel to undefeated Hough April 29 for a match that will likely decide the regular-season conference champion.

Pride fall to Crusaders

MOUNT MOURNE – The Pine Lake Prep girls soccer team lost consecutive non-conference matches to Christ the King April 2 and 5.

The Pride, 4-6 overall following the 3-0 home loss April 6, return to conference play April 15 against Union Academy. The Crusaders won 6-1 playing on their home field in the first game.

Pine Lake was 4-2 in the PAC 7 1A entering a match with Langtree Charter April 10.
