Ahrevia Willis Reitzell

MOORESVILLE – Ahrevia Willis Reitzell (formally Ahrevia Setzer), 98, died Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2017.

She was born Sept. 23, 1919, in Thomasville to the late Kimbrell and Minnie Lowdermilh Reitzell.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Margaret Bettini; brother, Clarence “Buck” Reitzell; son-in-law, Billy Wilhelm; and a grandson.

Survivors include her children, Carolyn S. Wilhelm, Ronnie Setzer and David Setzer and wife, Sandra; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services were held Nov. 17 at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home Chapel.

Mary Getz Fresch

MOORESVILLE – Mary Getz Fresch, 91, died Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2017, at Churchill Assisted Living.

She was born March 4, 1926, in Grant County, W.Va., to the late David and Lettie Sites Getz. 

She worked as a registered nurse.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Urvin “Pete” Fresch, and five siblings.

Survivors include her children, David Fresch and wife, Bonnie, and Patricia “Patti” Grove and husband, David, of Mooresville; sister, Eva Whiteley; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Services were held Nov. 18 at Central United Methodist Church in the Troutman Chapel.

George Miles Whitman

STATESVILLE – George Miles Whitman, 57, died Sunday, Nov. 12, 2017, at Iredell Memorial Hospital.

He was born Dec. 25, 1959, in Lincolnton to Rachael Stout Perkins and the late Joe T. Whitman.

Survivors include his mother; children, Samuel Myles Whitman and wife, Brittney, and Jessica Whitman; sisters, Mary Stanley and husband, Kevin, and Jennifer Adams and husband, Bob; brother, Tommy Whitman and wife, Rosie; mother of his daughter, Staci Whitman; step-father, Jimmy Perkins; and two granddaughters.

Services were held Nov. 24 at Westport Baptist Church.

Cindy Lee Lefler Sabol

MOORESVILLE – Cindy Lee Lefler Sabol, 51, died Nov. 11, 2017.

She was born June 12, 1966, in Beckley, W.Va., to Ron Lefler of Beckley and Henrietta Shrewsbury of Mooresville.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, LaVerne and Hester “Granny” Lefler and Henry and Flossie “Granny” Wyatt; and stepfather, Paul Shrewsbury.

Survivors include her husband, Jim Sabol; sons, Travis Lusk and girlfriend, Heather, of Mooresville, Cody and wife, Ric’Kell Lusk, and John-Michael; stepdaughter, Erica Sabol; brother, Ronnie Jr. Lefler and wife, Sasha; and a grandson.

Services were held Nov. 17 at Maxwell Hill Baptist Church in Beckley.

Stewart Archie Little Sr.

MOORESVILLE – Stewart Archie Little Sr., 76, died Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017, at Genesis Eldercare.

He was born Feb. 8, 1941, in Irasburg, Vt., to the late Maynard and Lottie Cole Little.

He worked as a truck driver.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Quinn Little.

TROUTMAN – James Barton Sanders II, 16, died Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2017.

He was born on Sept. 26, 2001, in Atlanta to Lynn and James Sanders.

Survivors include his sisters, Karen “Chyna” Sanders, Krysta and Kait Steele; brother, Kyle Steele; paternal grandparents, Keith and Kathy Sparks; and great-grandmother, Annell Johnston.

LOS ANGELES – Bianca “Dancing Rainbow” Celide Red Arrow, 19, a Mooresville native, died Monday, Nov. 6, 2017, in Redondo Beach, Calif.

She was born June 30, 1998, in Matthews to Mikko and Frances Bertolini Red Arrow.

Survivors include her parents and sister, Gianna Red Arrow.
