Tillis holds Senate seat, defeats Hagan



CORNELIUS – Republicans have won back the Senate seat in North Carolina with Republican Thom Tillis defeating incumbent Democrat Kay Hagan during the U.S. Senate race.Although Hagan came close to victory, Tillis overrode Hagan by almost two percent. Tillis received 49 percent of the vote while Hagan received 47 percent of the vote.
