Fire destroys Pumpkin Center home


LINCOLNTON — Fire destroyed a house in eastern Lincoln County Friday. The blaze started around 3 p.m. in the 2800 block of Jenkins Road, and has since been extinguished.  The cause of the fire has not yet been determined, according to Pumpkin Center firefighter Billy Crouse. No injuries were reported. Detectives from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office are investigating.
